AFTERCARE
A new tattoo is essentially an open wound and is therefore vulnerable to infection. Proper aftercare is essential to protect the tattoo, support healing, and ensure it ages well over time.
THE FIRST DAY:
Your tattoo will be wrapped at the end of your session. Keep it wrapped for around 3 hours.
Before removing the dressing, wash your hands. Once removed, a build-up of ink, blood, and plasma is normal.
Gently wash the tattoo with clean water and/or a mild, fragrance-free antibacterial soap. Avoid anything abrasive.
Pat dry with clean kitchen roll and allow the tattoo to air-dry for the rest of the day.
HEALING (2–4 WEEKS):
From day 2, apply a thin, even layer of aftercare balm (e.g. 100% cocoa butter, Yayo Familia, or Hustle Butter) 2–3 times daily. After 2 weeks, reduce to 1–2 times daily.
Wash the tattoo once a day with clean water and/or mild, fragrance-free antibacterial soap.
Flaking, peeling, and scabbing are normal. Do not pick - allow scabs to fall off naturally.
After 4 weeks, once fully healed, protect your tattoo with a strong SPF. Sun exposure can affect tattoos even after healing.
DO:
Keep the tattoo clean and only touch with clean hands
